The plum tree is blooming, it made it! :)  I'm so glad this made it through and the roots are grounded and hopefully in a year or so it'll produce fruit, but for now it's absolutely beautiful to look out the window and see all these beautiful branches blooming.

I was on my way to class and it was blustery, I thought this was a neat picture of the sky, clouds and sun trying to peak through.

I tried to make new cookies. These are my trail mix cookies - they are made with whole wheat flour, organic/raw agave nectar, dark chocolate, cranberries, pecans and coconut!  They were actually really good!  I have turned over a new leaf with what I eat and wanting it to be much better for me. This was a start!

I love this stuff... I hate that I have to use it but it's amazing! The cats have been making a mess again and my steamer doesn't work very well.  LA is going to let me borrow hers this weekend so I can really get my carpets clean again. One day I'll get the part I need so my steamer works the right way again!

Another class is under my belt... Performance Consulting and Causal Analysis!  I loved this class by far one of my favorites, plus Alina really had a teaching style that lead me to learn something and not just from stories. Today was our group presentation and we turned in our paper! DONE!! :)

They are finally done! They have to be flipped over and pounded into the ground and then filled with dirt yet... soon to come hopefully in a couple of weeks!  our great neighbors are also getting dirt/compost for their garden beds as well so they have offered to get dirt for us at the same time as well!

my new toy... while my dad was in town he decided i needed a better circ saw to assist with the more proper way to build the garden boxes.  So off to home depot we go!  have to be careful with this one no safety push button to get it started and boy does it have some power!

April 6, 2010

April 6, 2010
cedar 2x4 boards... it turned out to be a bit more expensive than i anticipated but it'll be worth it once i get everything planted and the garden is growing!  This pile of wood becomes my (2) 8'x8' garden boxes. at some point - when i get a second to do it...

A trip to Gulley's Greenhouse... this is by far my favorite nursery in town for flowers and veggie/herbs, there are other nurseries i like for other things in town so i tend to hit them all! :)  My back seat is filled with beauty and wonderfulness - i just can't wait until I can get things planted in the ground!

March 31, 2010

It was such a beautiful day outside... took the pop for a walk and the sun was shining and so warming it was wonderful a brief taste of early summer.  So on the way home I just had to stop and make a fruit salad!  delicious!

march 19, 2010

It was too nice outside today (70s easily) to not go for a dog walk. I called up my friend LA and we hit the trail!  This is the closest we have gotten the dogs in a line to walking :)

March 17, 2010
It was St. Patrick's Day, but i didn't get any good crazy green drunk people pictures - I don't like be in bars or around drunk people so alas none of those.  However, the geese decided to take a walk down my street - came up on the edge of my yard take a few nibbles then head off!

The Poudre River was looking so peaceful and all the snow is melted around it. Soon this will be green with new leaves and higher water leaves.

Reno madness - phase one (sort of).  It's the last room in the house that hasn't been painted.  Have all the supplies just didn't have the time.  The room is now prepped for painting.  It will be a bit before the rest is done: replacing the vanity, mirror, cabinet and trim - soon!

Sorry Folks, no picture today!

March 10, 2010
Last day in Chi-town, it was foggy and rainy our last few days... which was okay with me. I know I could never live in a big city - I need grass, open spaces, and the ability to walk around without having someone impede my personal bubble.  I'll stick to visiting!  Very ready to go home!

The Silver BEAN!  Finally got a chance to visit and take pictures of the bean.  I though it was cool how the bean looked like the chicago buildings/skyline right next to the actual buildings. very cool sculpture!

March 7, 2010
Went to the Adler Planetarium.  This was one of the educational pieces - actually the first type of planetarium that you actually ride a little car up into and the close down to make it darker.  Inside are pin holes in the mental and the globe rotates around to show accurate representations of the stars and constellations - Amazing!

March 6, 2010
Random leg sculpture just south of the Art Institute of Chicago.  I thought it was odd, interesting and a little like what it would be if we were all just walking around unaware of the amazing things we have in our life and the wonderful moments we often miss in life because we just run around busy with being busy.

March 5, 2010
Exploring Chicago at night with LA's brother and Sister In Law... I thought this building was really cool and very castle like!

March 4, 2010

March 4, 2010
One of the best things about going to TPE was getting to see Danielle and catch up!  How I miss this woman and definitely need to find time and a way out to see her soon!  Miss you D!

March 3, 2010

March 3, 2010
We finally made it to Chicago, it was an interesting trip from the beginning.  There were two guys on our flight who didn't enjoy the tweeners behind them and stated "I need a cigarette, drink and a shovel to deal with those kids" as stated by Mike through out time there.  Additionally, we went to catch our shuttle and the guy who greeted us was like a leprechaun, interesting to say the least.
One of the great things we happened to stumble upon was Trader Joe's, how I miss TJs and it was only 2 blocks away! :)

March 2, 2010
Max was enjoying looking outside, wondering what other dogs or people outside were doing.  I was home for a brief few days between OPE and NASPA.  It was nice to be home and with the critters!

This Beamer.  That is a NASPA/TPE Clock.  This is Beamer getting ready for TPE & job interviews.  Go Beamer Go!

February 28, 2010
I got home from OPE and Garmin was chillin' pretty close to me that night and for some reason his little tongue was sticking out. He's a goofy little cat with a quirky personality.  For some reason he wanted that tongue out - i tried to touch it to go back in but nothing :)

February 27th, 2010

February 27th, 2010
By far two of my favorite things about going to OPE and places that bring back fond memories of La Crosse.  Erbert & Gerbets is a sub shop that has great sandwiches but funny names!  We use to go there to get subs on the way home from the bars and other times of course!  Toppers has amazing cheesey breadsticks and they are probably one of the worst things ever but tastes soooo good!

February 26th, 2010

February 26th, 2010 - We were at the OPE social they had various waters around and one of them was with cucumbers.  I thought this was very bizarre and thus took a picture of it!  It did in fact taste like a cucumber... go figure!

February 25th, 2010

February 25th, 2010 - While we were at OPE in Wisconsin, we got to see Amanda Daul.  Previous RD and all around great person!  Its fun to connect with people you haven't seen in awhile!

Wednesday January 24th

Today is Jackson's birthday, the sweetest most lovable cuddle muffin ever!  He's 4 and makes my everyday happy and gives me perspective!  I love this dog - happy birthday Jackson! :)

Tuesday January 23rd

(while it was actually taken on Wed, I am having this for tuesday - it'll make sense when you see Wed's pic).
Every year the RD search committee wears a button down shirt from CSU, this year we went with a khaki shirt and Joslyn (RD) thought we should all wear green berets to go along with our shirts so we would essentially look like girl scouts. Mike (ARD) is modeling it here! :)

Monday January 22, 2010

I have driven by this spot a number of times as it is on the way from my house to work and vice versa, depending on the way i choose to go.  With the fresh snow it was absolutely beautiful.  It provided me with a moment of peace before the craziness of the day begins.
